Memory Card Slot for PlayStation Vita Exposed

Sony has showed off many of their PlayStation Vita consoles at the E3 Expo 2011. Despite the tremendous hype however, they have kept the ‘under-the-hood’ specs a closely guarded secret. Although everyone knows what the device looks like, few have seen the plastic case opened up.


During the last few weeks of E3, GAME Watch, a Japanese website, was able to take a picture of the PS Vita with its cover removed. This unveiled the memory card port location along with a rather mysterious connection.

According to GAME Watch the left “mysterious” connection is an expansion port. However, it does look quite similar to a HDMI cord. Although Sony has not announced any video capabilities for the PS Vita, we are certainly hoping that the cable will turn out to be a video cable, similar to the one that is located on the PSP.
