The new SCEE President, James Gallagher has revealed a new PSP model at Sony’s Gamescom 2011 Press Conference. The new PSP will be called the PSP-E 1000 with an amazing design. WiFi is the one main feature that will not be included in this E-1000 model.
The only way for players to connect to the PlayStation Store is to use the Sony Media Go Software since the handheld will not have WiFi. This means that players can only play UMD game titles. The price starts at €99.00 and is expected to launch this fall in Europe. No word was mentioned of a launch in other countries.
European PlayStation Blog has posted a few more details about the handheld. Not only will you see the new design with a Charcoal Black finish as the PS3 Slim console, but also a range of PSP Essentials titles that will retail at a discounted price at €9.99. It will include all the popular games like Invizimals: The Lost Tribe, EyePet Adventures, FIFA 12 and many more.
