One of the most amazing features on PlayStation Vita is the ability to buy and download games on the go. Unfortunately, Sony will be placing a limit on downloads through a 3G connection similar to all other mobile devices.
A representative from Sony Computer Entertainment Japan in an
ASCII interview responded that the PS Vita will be limited to 20 MB for 3G downloads. However, the download limit could increase later depending on the network.

This means that users must have a Wifi connection to download any games from the PSN Store since most game file sizes are often over 200 MB, except the PS Minis.
NTT DoCoMo is the 3G provider in Japan for PlayStation Vita. Pre-paid cards will cost ¥980 for 20 hours and ¥4,980 for 100 hours of 128Kbps download and 64Kbps upload transfer. Three hours of high speed (14 Mbps download and 5.7 Mbps upload) will be included on the 100 hours card.
