Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, along with Sony execs demonstrated to a large audience at the Tokyo Game Show, a live remote play session with the upcoming PS Vita. Showcased was Killzone 3 ,with rather smooth game play, and the lack of trigger controls was supplemented by the Vita's rear panel touch screen.
Shuhei Yoshida has also confirmed the PS Vita will be region free, via Twitter.
Sony has also said the PS Vita will be released in Japan December 17th with 26 games available at launch.
Other features announced where:
-Data sharing via cloud service with the PlayStation 3. -Data compatibility also extends into cross-platform play.
Here's a video of Killzone 3 being played with Live Remote Play on the Vita.
Just imagine playing some of the great PS3 games on the Vita via Live Remote Play o.o

that was a good idea replacing the rear touch pad for the L2 R2 buttons.i hope they can do this so yo can play ps2 games on it, to play FF-XII on a portable system is what i´ve always wanted.
