My Gravity Rush Short Review on the Retail Version

Note: Sorry for my bad English as I am only fluent in Engrish.

I bought the Full copy of Gravity Rush R1 for PS Vita and here is my first impression of the game.

You will start the game with a cutscene that goes straight to a large tree. When the scene reached the tree, you can now interact with the Apple on the tree. You can also tilt your PS Vita to look around and touch the apple by using the touch screen to move it or until it drop to advance to the story. When the apple drop, you will now be greeted with the opening scene. The scene ends until you reach the hero of this game, Kat. Kat will be awaken when the apple hits her while she was on the ground. You will now be able to move to advance in the story. End opening scene spoiler. Lol

Now, my favorite part was when you press Up on your D-Pad, it will go in a first person mode. You can look around when you go to this mode but you will not be able to move. You can look around by tilting your Vita. Cooler part is that you can tilt it vertically to see everything on a vertical position. The game still plays like in the demo. I also love the comic style scenes where you can also tilt your Vita to make it feel like 3D. Also, I noticed that the language spoken by the characters are unfamiliar with me. Not Japanese or English. I am not sure what language it is but it is different with just an English Subtitle. Some parts doesn't have voice over. The story is funny and I like it. I thought it will be another serious story game but it was funny which is more like Devil May Cry type of comedy or Bayonetta. The graphics is nice. This is a nice game worth of my money.


After playing more.. I noticed that the game is a FREE ROAMING Action/RPG game. You can freely roam around the city and gather crystals or take side quest to earn more crystal. These crystals are needed to upgrade your character. You can upgrade your HP, Gravity, Kick, etc.. I also like how you can take anything around you and throw it on your enemies. The game is a mixture of GTA, Assassin's Creed and Bayonetta. This is a great fun game with a lot of things to do than just fighting like in most action game like DMC. There will also be a DLC for some side quest to unlock the limit in your stats. There is also a HOME for Kat where you can Save the game and or make a shortcut to the other manhole/location. I will give this game a 5/5 for being so awesome.
