What to do??

To fix PS2 Phat(fat) or to fix my PS2 Slim?
Idk wich version is the phat but the PS2 Slim is SCPH-77004 and the prices are same.

I would fix the slim because it's easier to put in a bag when you are travelling (vacation..)

But they both have the same power. There isn't any different.

Actually, depending on how you hack it, getting to one of the sensors involves opening up the case of the playstation, whereas the phat just requires a tool to slide in

Phat's last longer. Slims have laser issues and normally end up scratching your discs after about a year, not to mention that phats can use HDloader whereas slims can't.

First the PS2 have same price.
I had an Slim for 6 Years and i didnt changed the laser nor i fixed it.
My friend has a Phat Silver and he has problems with loading games.
He plays Persona 4 and he stucks when he battles Yukiko.He burn again the DVD and again he stucks at the same place.He has problems with many games.
I think both PS2 are hardmoded(not sure for slim).Does all the PS2 have problems with loading games or his is just broken??

Im sure the ps2 slim has many bug fixes (phat) in the hardware.
And I didnt have laser and scratching problems.
