Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance News/Info Thread(Some New Info updated)

A bit late to the party.. but nonetheless, Neeekkkuuuu <3 <3 <3

If they add Sho, this game will be complete.

And omfg, that's so...wow :| I think I may buy a 3DS first just because of this game. Seriously. The entire game just looks amazing. The story is so awesome :O

I think Young Xehanort and Riku have a connection, whereas Vanitas and Sora have a connection. I won't lie, Young Xehanort looked a bit like Riku. Maybe fathers? Older brothers? Lol, connecting them by family is probably not a good idea...

But I looovveedd seeing previous KH scenes rendered in 3D :O and Neku, Joshy, Shiki, Beat, and Rhyme <3 :D

Cannot wait for this game.

Square Enix on their official North American and Europe facebook and twitter pages have announced that Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance will see a 2012 release!
Details are limited but the good news is that this piece of information happened the day after Square Enix released their Jump Festa 2012 trailer publicly!
They even have an official Europe KH3D site than you can check out below:



Question is now how long of a wait NA & EU fans will have to wait following Japan’s release in March of 2012.

The new game’s spectacular story promises to be a fun backdrop to the colorful cast of Disney characters making their 3–D debut on a handheld title. In addition to new worlds, KINGDOM HEARTS 3D [Dream Drop Distance] will feature never–before–seen gameplay elements for the series.
“With the tenth anniversary of the series on the horizon, the current KINDGOM HEARTS saga is approaching its climactic conclusion. The story of this game will serve as the opening chapter of the final conflict, and, as always, will be full of surprises. In order to best implement this element of surprise and discover new realms of possibility, we have chosen Nintendo 3DS as our platform. Story
King Mickey and Yen Sid prepare for an impending threat by putting Sora and Riku through the Mark of Mastery exam. Sora and Riku are sent into the Sleeping Worlds, where they will face enemies and allies that have never been seen before. If they can successfully complete the task they are given, they will be deemed true Keyblade Masters.

Dual protagonists — Play as the two most popular characters of the franchise, Sora and Riku.
“Free-flow” action — Enjoy fast and effortless movements while interacting with the environment and performing acrobatic attacks.
Brand–new creatures — Dream Eaters inhabit the Sleeping Worlds, and are split into two categories: Spirits and Nightmares. Recruit over 50 different types of Spirits as allies to fight alongside Sora and Riku.

ArikaMiz on their twitter account has uploaded new scans of Kingdom Hearts 3D this afternoon (Japan time).
The scans feature “The Country of the Musketeers” world showing off the beautiful layouts of the world as well as Sora and Riku’s interactions with Minnie. The scans then show off Shiki, Joshua, and Beat from The World Ends With You. Shiki interacts with Riku, saying that Riku is a knight that will protect her, while Beat is making conversation with Joshua.
The last bits of the scans show the augment reality feature with the Dream Eaters and the interaction/mini games you get to perform with them as well as more new Dream Eaters!
